![]() ![]() The problem only affects controllers, other Bluetooth devices like headsets, mice, etc. The only fix is to somehow get the old driver that worked and install it, however windows update will still eventually remove it in favour of the most recent albeit broken one or just use the dongle and forget about it entirely. It is very rare but annoying when you eventually get it and is completely independent of how beefy the PC/laptop is. When playing with a Bluetooth controller (I'm unsure if it can happen with any other controller as I've only used xbox) there is a rather slim chance that the game will start lagging badly and any input, be it key presses or just moving the mouse, will make the computer beep with the only solution being hitting the off switch. ![]() Microsoft completely fudged the Bluetooth driver a (very long) while ago and has never come around to fix it.
